About ElastiFlow

Whether for business, entertainment or social connection, we all depend on the reliability, performance and security of networks to enable the modern world in which we live. We created ElastiFlow to provide the insights which make this world possible.

ElastiFlow, created by Rob Cowart, began as a GitHub project in May of 2017. It combined the capabilities of NetFlow, IPFIX, and sFlow with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) to provide comprehensive network traffic visibility and analysis. The project gained popularity among network and security professionals worldwide thanks to its rich feature set, flexibility, and ease of integration with existing network infrastructures.

As organizations were leveraging ElastiFlow at increasing scale and for more mission-critical environments, Rob recognized the need for the solution to evolve. In September 2020, he launched ElastiFlow Inc. together with Sven Cowart, transitioning ElastiFlow from a GitHub solution to a successful startup.

The company built on the project's popularity among network and security professionals by providing comprehensive network traffic visibility and analysis tools, leveraging the capabilities of NetFlow, IPFIX, and sFlow with modern data platforms such as the Elastic Stack, OpenSearch, and Kafka. The growth of ElastiFlow can be attributed to its rich feature set, flexible deployment, and ability to scale from the smallest to the largest of environments, earning the trust of network and security teams worldwide.
